To Everything...Turn Turn Turn....

To Everything...Turn Turn Turn....

Maybe you've heard that famous song by the "The Byrds". It's relevant to many times in our lives because in each day, week, year, etc, there's a time for a certain season. The song says:

To everything - turn, turn, turn.
There is a season - turn, turn, turn.
And a time to every purpose under heaven.

By this, it means that there is a season for EVERYTHING, no matter how big or small. This could be a relationship, a job, residence, anything. But the lyrics are true, there is a time for every purpose.

This weekend has been a long one. So many different emotions, ups and downs. My friend's mother had passed away, and I had noticed how strong she was being. Physically, she is very small and doesn't look any older than 19 or 20, but there's so much strength packed in such a tiny package. I couldn't imagine losing my mom, and still being able to be in the presence of others. I really admire that about her.

Then today, we're celebrating a baby shower for one of my cousins, and another cousin goes into labor right there during the babyshower! YIKES!!! Once I had a chance to sit and really take it all in, it amazed me life is full of these ups and downs, highs and lows, ins and outs, but there's so much substance to be had.

While one person was being laid to rest, another was being brought into the world. One person took their last breathe, while another took their first. The important part is really all the stuff in between. What a person does with their life is how they're remembered.

If you're fortunate enough to live in the areas that experiences all 4 seasons, then you often see a lot of change in your environment. You have to adapt to it, and keep going, but what about the seasons in your life. How do you adapt to those? Do you try to resist or just go with the flow? One thing is true though, change and seasons are inevitable.
